Salsa

Salsa is a mexican term for sauce.Salsa is made from tomatoes, mangoes, habanero, chipotle, pineapple, tomatillos etc.The below recipe is a chunky tomato salsa,the same recipe can be pulsed in a food processor coarsely to make a finer textured salsa.Salsa is usually eaten with chips but can also be eaten on top of cooked meat,relish on tortillas and even on top of eggs and sandwiches.
Preparation time:10 minutes
Serves:2

Ingredients:
2 medium tomatoes diced
1-2 jalapenos deseeded and diced finely
1/4 cup finely diced onion
juice from half a lemon
1 garlic clove minced
salt to taste
1/2 cup chopped cilantro
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
pinch chili powder(optional)

Procedure:
1.Combine all the ingredients and let sit for an hour in the refrigerator for the flavors to infuse.



Tips:
You can also add finely diced green peppers and avocado for added flavor.
Add diced mango for a mango salsa,habanero peppers instead of jalapenos-mango habanero is a famous combination in a rich orange color.
Make sure you dice all the ingredients in the same size to make the texture of salsa even.
